The French composer Vladimir Cosma, who is well know for all his film music and lovely melodies, composed this song for the film, in which it was sung by Richard Sanderson and became an international hit.

Two years later, due to the success of the first film, came a sequel "La Boum 2" also with Sophie Marceau and also with a great success : "Your eyes".
