This small festive overture features the brass section prominantly. The work is very suitable to begin a concert and was written for the 100th anniversary of the "Royale Harmonie de Moresnet (B)" where it was conducted by Louis Martinus. The talent of Pascal Devroye as a composer can be heard in the energetic opening. Interesting rhythms, captivating melodic lines, effective intrumentation and strong construction of this piece give us the impression that it could have been written by John Williams himself.
