In 1957, Ennio Porrino composed ‘Nuraghi, 3 danze primitive Sarde’: The Sardinian ‘nuraghi’ are solemn, megalithic constructions, dating from the bronze age. Their history, however, is still an unsolved mystery. The ‘Nuraghi’ dwellers were known to perform ceremonial dances, dedicated to hidden and primitive forces of nature.  The work does contain three movements: ‘Danza della terra’ (Dance of the Earth), ‘Danza dell’acqua’ (Dance of Water) and ‘Danza del Fuoco’ (Dance of Fire).
