Cheval de feu takes its inspiration from the symbolism of the Chinese zodiac. The Horse embodies movement, freedom, and instinctive strength, while the Fire element amplifies passion, intensity, and vital energy. From the fusion of these two symbols emerges a fiery, charismatic force that is difficult to contain, constantly driven toward action, momentum, and transformation. The work unfolds in two complementary movements. Incandescence first establishes a smoldering tension, almost motionless in appearance. Yet the calm it conveys is only superficial: heat accumulates, pressure gradually builds. The horse is present, frozen on the surface, but everything within it is poised to burst forth. Its gaze is fixed, its muscles taut, its energy restrained at the very edge of release. Every moment seems suspended, charged with restless anticipation. The second movement, The Blaze, abruptly shatters this restraint. The energy that had been compressed until then is unleashed in a surge of vitality. The rhythm becomes vivid, incisive, and unmistakably propulsive. The pulse drives the motion forward with force, expressing the Cheval de Feu’s untamed fervor and indomitable spirit. Everything accelerates, ignites, and asserts itself, extending and fulfilling the tension born in Incandescence until it reaches its full expression.
