2001 A brass odyssey

This piece was commissioned by the National Youth Brass Band of Switzerland to be premiered in the year of its title. I had written a piece which ran the gamut of human moods and emotions, from the aggressive and energetic to the calm and peaceful, and when looking for a title I could not resist the fact that the novel by Arthur C Clarke had a title that was exactly what I was looking for. So I substituted the word Brass for the word Space. Like the book, this piece also makes a journey through many adventures.
